Hello, I'm Awa

I picked up my first camera at a naming ceremony in Bakau and never really put it down. What I chase isn't the posed smile — it's the half-second before it, when people forget the lens is there.

I shoot weddings, portraits, brand stories and documentary work across The Gambia and beyond. I work quietly, in natural light, and I deliver galleries you'll actually want to print.

To photograph people the way they'd want to be remembered — honestly, warmly, and without the fuss.

Why choose us

01

Available light, always

I work with the light that's there. It's softer, truer, and it ages far better than flash.

02

Quiet on the day

You'll barely know I'm there. The best frames come when no one's performing for the camera.

03

Print-ready galleries

High-resolution, hand-edited images delivered in a private online gallery you keep.

04

Travel anywhere

Based in Banjul, but I'll follow the story upcountry or overseas.

What our customers say

Fatou & ModouWedding, Bakau

“She made our little roastery look like a magazine. Sales jumped the week we posted her photos.”
